Apart from that, I am also the contact person for different travel organizations. I’m married, have three gorgeous sons and enjoy walking up and down the mountains surrounding Hout Bay.

While living and working in London I specialized in putting together tailor-made, up market holidays to east and southern Africa and the Indian Ocean. However, all my holidays found me flying south back to Cape Town. I decided to move to South Africa on a more permanent basis and joined the AAA Travel Team in 2004. My hobbies including climbing African mountains, swimming and gardening.

Joined AAA Travel in October 2003 and have enjoyed the journey from working as a FIT and groups tour consultant to special projects and now as the reservations manager. I love the work I do and the team that I find myself apart of. Having travelled and lived thoughout Southern Africa including Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Nambia, Lesotho and South Africa. Cape Town has become my home and where I began growing my family. My children, Chloe and Keagan, have stolen my heart and the discovery and thrills of parenthood is shared with school-sweetheart, Andrew.

Hello, I do the Meet & Greet
for AAA Travel, at the Johannesburg Airport
and in different guesthouses and
hotels. My job is to give our
clients, who are mainly from Europe,
a hearty welcome after arriving
in South Africa. I deal mainly
with the Dutch clients and help
them with paper work, car hire,
cell phones and confirm all their
reservations. They also can ask
me all the practical questions
about Southern Africa. I hope
to 'Meet & Greet' you soon.

I work with Jaap and Ingrid on the marketing and sales side of AAA. After studying I spent the next couple of years travelling, working in travel and marketing South Africa in the UK. I love being back in SA and share this amazing lifestyle with my family. We love the beach, exploring our beautiful region, surf skiing and diving when possible.

Yandisa Ngcuka
I recently joined AAA Travel from another tour operator based in Cape Town. I’m part of the FIT team here and enjoy arranging our clients’ holidays and make their African “dreams” come true! I obtained my National Diploma in Tourism Management in 2001 and shortly thereafter, I spent some time (1 year) in Germany on a government sponsored programme.
I am currently fortifying my business and analytical skills through a Bcom (Economics) degree with UNISA. I am an avid reader: main interests being financial markets, politics, and developmental issues….
I generally work hard – inspired by my gorgeous 3 year old daughter.
I love hiking (Table Mountain!), watching (and playing) soccer… I also derive fulfilment from spending some time with my friends.

I joined AAA Travel the beginning of March 2008, coming from various back grounds in the travel industry – from whole sale, airlines, incentives and corporate travel.
I live in Hout Bay with my husband and 2 lovely daughters aged 21 and 17 years. Since they were small, my children have been “exposed’ to travel to lots of countries such as Sri Lanka, the Middle East, Thailand, Kenya and Zanzibar. We all love travelling, eating out, shopping, reading and having braais with friends and family.
I am part of the coach department arranging scheduled tours for inbound Dutch clients with Bandla. |

Hi, I’m Ben. I have been guiding for AAA Travel since end 2000. Doing anything that there is to do and also enjoying seeing all of the sights in Southern Africa, believe me, we have everything in Africa!!!I am currently employed as Assistant Contracting Manager, Something that is completely new but also very interesting and fulfilling, using my experience and knowledge in the field to great use, especially for Namibia which lies close to my heart!! I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and 4wd safaris into the most scenic parts of Africa.

Mignonne Lewis
Hallo, Bon Jour, Guten Morgen, Goeie More, Molo – my name is Mignonne.
I joined AAA Travel in September 2007, working for the “Contracting Department”, but by January 2008, I found myself in the Receptionist position. I have trained in Travel & Tourism and have Call Centre experience – so I hope to use this knowledge and skills while being “the face” of AAA Travel. I also speak French and German which has been useful in dealing with some of our clients, recently. In my spare time, I like to play tennis, walk, hike, participate in Salsa dancing, socialize with friends and family and try new things. |

I am happy to be a part of the finance department of AAA Travel and enjoy the challenges and excitements about the tourism.
Working and living in Hout Bay has lots of advantages, especially the nature all around us, which my family and I enjoy tremendously.

Heleen van de Ven
Having arrived fresh from the Netherlands in 2008, I’ve been enjoying the Hout Bay sun for quite a while now. I am the Product Developer at AAA and like coming up with exciting and original trips for our clients. When I’m not working I enjoy exploring Cape Town and surroundings; discovering new places, hiking, walks on the beach and most importantly spending time with my South African friends. I also like having fun with some underprivileged kids I’ve gotten to know and putting some smiles on their faces. Most of all I enjoy capturing South Africa’s beauty through my lens: so much scenic beauty and so many gorgeous faces are surrounding me here; I don’t think I’ll get bored quickly here in South Africa.

I’ve been in tourism since 1995 when I did tour guiding for a couple of years – after which I turned to being a tour consultant. In 2005 I decided to move into holiday accommodation and I started working for Villa Africa.
My ‘family’ consists of 3 sons and 1 daughter (the youngest 2 are twins) and I also have 3 granddaughters – 2 of which live in the United States. We emigrated from Leeds U.K. in 1984 and have lived in Hout Bay since 1989 so I consider myself a ‘mature’ Capetonian!
My home life consists of me & John and our 2 retrievers – Paddington & Libby. I like listening to music, watching a good movie, travelling, and I’m an ardent supporter of Leeds United (my hometown soccer club)!

Ingrid van Pinxteren
I
have worked in tourism in the Netherlands for about 5 years. During the last 5 years I have travelled many times to South Africa, but also visited Mozambique and Madagascar. And I really enjoyed it! I have always wanted to live abroad for a while and as I am so passionate about Africa, I recently decided to move to South Africa to work for African Ample Assistance. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, spinning, reading interesting books, going to the theatre and off course travelling to explore more of Africa.
